I can't argue too much with you there... but may as well make the best of it as long as you're already here. Otherwise, you'll end up one of those 1/2 crazy people that scream at imaginary birds in the yard.

Missed it huh?

Right now, I'm drinking Sutter Home Moscato.... Not too sweet, not too dry. This is an all day wine for me...
Also in my fridge are Boordy Spiced Wassail and Elk Run...err.. something white.

I love Virginia wines..North Mountain has a reserve Vin Glace' that is so sweet and fruity you have to drink it with something salty. :waitingforitsbobtocommentonthatone:
Grey Ghost is also good. I like white wines.. Unless it's a really spicy, warm red wine, I feel like I'm drying up when I drink it..Except for Yellowtail Shiraz and the wassail.. I have yet to find a red I could drink regularly...

BTW, I don't like White Zin.. BLEH!

Some of my fav's (I prefer Chardonnay's)...

Clos du Bois (CA)
I picked up a bottle of that. Haven't tried it yet. Hope it's not too sweet. I prefer a dry white wine, or a hearty red depending on the meal or mood. I think for my next project, I'm going to make a wine rack. Too many bottles of wine laying around.

I'm not much for sweet wines either. I remember the wine my grandfather used to make. That was some good stuff. He had all the equipment too. Even the big wooden barrels. He made a good strong red wine. :otter:

Well, I'm going to that Cove Point place tomorrow to taste some kook-aid wine and see how it goes...I do miss the wines of Germany!

I had a Chardonnay that was supposedly from St. Mary's City (not sure where the grapes are there)...it sucked. Probably the worst I've had. It was somewhat expensive too. :boo:

Supposedly there is a vinyard down in Scotland somewhere. My boss also makes wine and has gotten grapes there before.

BTW, VA wine festival this weekend in Millwood, VA.

We stopped in there a month or so ago, and what a trip! There were two other couples there who had also just stopped by. They're an older couple and run a B & B there as well. Beautiful grounds, surrounded by water. Everyone was sitting at a picnic table under a huge tree and man were they all sauced! Laughing and having a good old time swilling wine out of dixie cups. They were so hospitable, it's well worth the drive down there.
