How do you fix this? Do we now answer questions about our size and weight when purchasing a ticket? Enter our dimensions like a UPS box and wait for SW to calculate how many seats I need and the fare I have to pay?
Yes, exactly.

Won't be me getting bumped. I pay for Business Select.

The bad thing is not only will the get a free extra seat, they'll likely also get pre-boarding. Lotta good it does to get A1, when there are 20 people with pre-boarding on their passes ahead of you.

Also, for safety reasons, they should also get a window/middle seat.

But not at the emergency hatch.
Why not? They already let anyone who pays MORE sit in the "extended legroom" emergency row. Many times I have seen elderly and obviously incapable people seated in those seats and they quite obviously cannot handle the job. What can the airline do? If they try to move them then who refunds the extra money they paid for those seats?
