Speaking of free tech...

SMARTCO can use all the volunteers (and sponsorship, i.e. $$) they can get. I am planning to go in next Wed. to give them some time.

They replaced my recently broked laptop (that I got from them in the fall, 2000 model so it's not a big surprise) and gave me an HP1210 all-in-1 this past Wed so I could automate Cub Scout Day Camp paperwork.

If you've got the time, give them a hand.

Maybe you can suggest that they get in touch with the IT department of CSM... or post a notice in the CSM Community Support volunteer program.

Lemme get this straight.
You go in and volunteer your time... and they give you free computer ####?

Is that what I'm hearing from you?

Yes and no.... they rebuild and donate to other non-profits. They gave Hunter a PC to be used for the Scouts, not to him personally, per se.
