Speaking of WalMart

It's true.. check out the parking lot. They have an embedded wire in the asphalt (you can see the seam) surrounding their entire parking lot similar to a wireless fence for dogs. Now I don't know if they have the carts in yet, but the wheels on the carts are supposed to lock up when you cross the "invisible" line.
Oh sure, now I'm going to go check out the perimeter of the lot for a crack. :lmao:
Well, maybe.

Feb. 8, 2007 — Grocery store shopping cart handles have more germs than public restrooms, making them one of the worst public places for germs, according to researchers.

It's a problem that at least one state, Arkansas, is trying to address, by passing a law forcing stores to clean up their carts.

How germy could shopping carts really be? Very, according to researchers at the University of Arizona who tested all kinds of public surfaces. They found that shopping carts were loaded with more saliva, bacteria and even fecal matter than escalators, public telephones, and even public bathrooms.

I can't say that I am surprised! LOL
Me either! I have always thought about the snotty nosed kid wiping his nose with his hand and smearing it on the handle. Mattingly's used to have a display that held handle wipes for the carts. I think all stores should provide disinfectant wipes or handle covers.

All these cart problems, nastiness, etc about walmart are from the rift raft the store attracts. Relax, just because you shop there doesn't mean your rift raft, but I think you catch my drift.

They all need to get front end alignments! I love it when the cart steers right into the cereal going down the cereal aisle.
Oh ya :yay: how about going to turn a corner and they don't turn, you wipe out a display and then try to act like nothing happened! :lmao:

I used to work at the Wal-Mart in California pushing carts. Try this. Go into Wal-Mart and ask for Assistant Manager Larry. He is a really nice guy who tries to get things done. Tell him Billy one of the old cart pushers sent you to complain. See if he can't do anything for you. If he can't then I don't know what to tell you except call Corporate Headquarters. Hope that works out for you! :boxing: :war:

I was at Target the other day, and there is a sign up by the door that tells you about the carts, so I'm guessing they are here now. So if one was seen by Gate 3, maybe one of the old ones....

My two year old has sneezed and then put her hands on a shopping cart. That doesn't make her rift-raft...it makes her a two year old. LOL

I get your point, though.

I've seen kids chomping on those handles too. Moms and Dads should carry wipes and clean them off before and after using them.

Why is it their responsibilty? Do you know of anyplace that cleans off the door handles for you?

It's not their responsibility, it's up to the shoppers if they want to touch that lougie lodged under the handle! I just meant to imply that it would be a nice customer service touch.

I was amazed when I walked in the Lusby Food Lion yesterday afternoon and saw a "wet wipe" stand just inside the main door. :yay:
