Camera's Purdy Kewl!
I hooked everything up just to get it working, and it works rather well.
The next project will be tucking the cables away underneath trim moldings carpets and sail panels so they're not hanging around.

OK. Sounds neat. But which way is this dash cam pointing - forward to catch whatever happens, or rearwards to catch you broadcasting yourself?
Actually, this thing has a forward-looking primary camera and a small camera on the end of a 30' cable that can be mounted in the rear window; with the touch of a button, I can change which camera view is displayed. It records sound also.

I figger'd out how to get the camera to work in the car last night. I guess maybe tonight I'll figure out how to transfer the video to my laptop. :shrug:

I want;and now have one; because I mostly drive by myself.
Rarely do I travel with anyone.
The camera is just "a witness" if, God forbid I am ever in an accident that involves another vehicle/inattentive driver. You know how folks 'round here change lanes then signal; or if they have a bumper on you, they're cuttin' you off.....this camera will provide proof of fault.
Just hoping it's never MY fault.

Why 'creepy'? See, you must not have read what I posted about me mostly travelling sans passengers/witnesses. This camera is just a CYA measure in the event somebody **cks up.

No I read that part. And I still think it's creepy, a lot of people drive by themselves EVERY day, and if they do get into an accident seems to workout that the cops can figure out who is at fault.
So this just makes you seem like a creepy old dude. So turns out my original thoughts about you still stand.

Along with an embedded trackable GPS to see if they really went where they said they were going.
I know I always did when I drove the familymobile, right? Never, ever, deviated from my assigned path........

Dude, you are definitely a creeper.
The only way this camera would be interesting to watch is if someone stole your ride and drove it off a cliff or bridge... if the tape survived it'd be worth wasting a few minutes of time...
