My daughter got a flyer for this camp. Has anyone's child been to this? She wants to go but I want to find out about it first. I'm going to look it up on the internet but was wondering what other people thought? Thanks

My daughter wants to do this camp. She came home with the paperwork this week.
I recommend it.
She is kind of funny about going off on her own... so I am worried if I pay for it then she won't get on the bus.. and I will be ::mad
But they are ice skating... so that might convince her
Does anyone know of a boys or boys/girls camp they would recommend.
St. Marys or Charles County.
How old are the boys?Does anyone know of a boys or boys/girls camp they would recommend.

Oh yeah, btw this was what they did on Monday: Canvas Child’s Apron but without paint, only markersMy daughter, who can spend an hour telling me all about her day at school in minute detail can only tell me one thing each day she did at camp and THAT is only because she brought the physical proof home.
Well, my daughter is at Winona this week. My overall impression is that it is a royally disorganized cluster $#%^
They were begging for volunteers right up until the last minute, claiming that they had to reject some camp registrations for lack of adult participation. Yet, much of the promotion for the camp strongly discourages parental participation.
I volunteered for a small task and even after getting final confirmation for my daughter's attendance, I didn't know if they needed me or what the instructions were for this task. So, I emailed them and the response I got was that they hadn't looked to see who had volunteered for this task and they would have to let me know. They did...on Friday before camp started. Some parents I spoke with NEVER got any confirmation of their role and most just showed up hoping to be of help.
In one email, it said that the girls would be provided with water bottles. In a link off of that same email it said bottles would NOT be provided. In one email it said that there would be an end of camp show at 2pm on the last day, but in another link it said that the younger girls would be having a ceremony in the morning and the older girls in the afternoon. I still don't know the truth of that.
My daughter's troop has 3 girls attending. Rather than placing them all in the same group at camp, they are in 2 different groups. The girl who is not with the other 2 is very unhappy and according to her mother isn't having any fun. There is also a set of twins from nearby troop that are in two different groups. How difficult would it be to switch one of the twins with the lone girl from our troop, putting the 3 troop mates together and the twins together? Not difficult at all, but apparently it never occurred to anyone.

and Tuesday: "Camp Journal" Craft Kit
I wonder what Oriental Trading project she'll bring home today.
They are 5 years old and in my daughter's camp group there is a set of triplets who make up about half the group, so care to apply your theory now?In Girl Scouts they try to avoid having clicks. They break the troops up at camps so the girls have a chance to meet new people. Twins get seperated at school for the same reason. So they be their own person. Tell the girls to get over it they will see each other at Troop meeting and meet new people.
