aw, but the squirrels appreciate it! :huggy:

I was wondering if I could use tinfoil and tape and make collars for the stalks

Here's advice from a "how to" website.

Wrap 24-inch wide aluminum flashing around the base of tree trunks to prevent squirrels from shredding the bark. Use copper or stainless steel nails or screws to attach the metal to the trunk. (These metal collars will only protect stand-alone trees.)

:bonk: I was trying to do a modified version... I can't put nails through my stalks and hammer away either  Looks like I need to put a plate of bird seed out in the morning before I go to work for the squirrels and see if that helps. :ohwell:

They would leave the corn alone if you put out some planters peanuts

shelled or unshelled? Its worth a shot, but if it doesn't work I may attract even more squirrels to the garden :jameo:

Put them (shelled) a little away from the garden. Move them further out each day.

Peanuts will only make thirsty squirrels.

Don't forget the beer.

Uh, sounds like a fairly small corn garden. Have you considered using chicken wire fencing to keep'em out? Including over the top, sorta like a greenhouse of chicken wire?

Yes, but then you have to build a gate of sorts and then be able to walk around in it to weed it and water it and harvest my beans, etc... and then be able to dig up potatoes. It's too small of a garden for building up a chicken wire garden from top to bottom. The chicken wire and gate stuff would probably cost more than the soil and seed I bought

I did the peanut thing this morning, I put out a little bag and scattered it near my garden and made a little trail away from the garden
