Make sure you take them to dinner or lunch at a waterfront restaurant where you can sit outside. This is always the big hit when I have out of town visitors.

Also walk them around Leonardtown Square.

I was thinking about Vera's. I've not been there since the new owners took over.

A visit to St. George's Island would take about 15 minutes.

What else ya got planned?
:yeahthat: It's one of the first things I did when moved here and it was a big waste of 15 minutes

It is so different - in a shockingly good way. However I kind of miss all the "junk" that was in there before.

The "junk" is still there. It's just all confined to one room now. Sort of a shrine to Vera. Some really cool stuff to see. So you get a museum and dinner and on a weekend a live band. :yay:

And with the temperatures this week, they can sit out side and cook at the same time as their meal.

Leonardtown Square is nice. North End Gallery, little consignment shop and collectable shops. The Antique Mall on Rt. 5 in Leonardtown is also interesting. And don't forget the pet store on the square...it serves as our zoo.

Vera's is VERY nice since the new owners.
Menu is pricey - but waterfront/seafood usually is.
Food is very good!

I have guests coming next week and thought a drive to St. George Island would fill a day. I've never been there...any suggestions on things to see and a good place for lunch or an early dinner?

Take them out on Jack Russels Skip-jack. He runs out of St. Georges.

Then for dinner, stop by Tall Timbers, "The Reluctant Navigator"
