Was by there back around 4-5pm, looked like a large party setting up just north of there, were some cars parked down by St James, wonder if there is any connection..........

According to posts on Southern MD Breaking News, one of the party goers was hit. Not doing well.

I was making such good time coming home this evening from DC when I came upon this accident. Three minutes from home and I gotta take a 10 minute detour - ugh!! I like the good ole days when police and firemen knew how to direct traffic around an accident, but it appears that in SMC the road gets closed for a mosquito bite.....

MSP has to do accident reconstruction when there is a fatality, or a good chance of a fatality. And they need the street marks, etc...

I just hope the person who was hit realizes you were put out by ten minutes and tries to make it right. Maybe flowers?

Seriously, check your priorities. Police and fire aren't concerned about you being inconvenienced when they respond. And they aren't there to direct traffic. They are concerned about the emergency at hand and the patient requiring their attention. It's shameful that a few extra minutes of driving for you outweighs the pain and tragedy of a person's death.
