LEONARDTOWN, MD (December 4, 2023) – The St. Mary’s County Health Department invites expecting and new parents who live in St. Mary’s County to a Drive-Thru Community Baby Shower on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s County Health Hub located at 21625 Great Mills Road Lexington Park, MD 20653. Cars should enter the Health Hub at the entrance off of Great Mills Rd closest to the Sheriff’s Office. Please remain in your vehicle; walk-ups will also be allowed.
This FREE event will offer giveaway items to attendees, including diapers, baby wipes, pacifiers, bottles, and more while supplies last. Special raffle items include car seats and pack ‘n-plays.
“Promoting parent and infant health is vital to our community’s overall wellness. Our health department team is proud to provide services that improve access to prenatal care, support education on infant care and parenting, and advance parent and child health through home-based services and nurse case management,” said Dr. Meena Brewster, St. Mary’s County Health Officer. “Expecting a baby or being a new parent is a reason to celebrate; this baby shower celebrates our growing St. Mary’s families by offering support, resources, and valuable education.”
