St Mary's Co bus driver arrested

Wow, that sounds like a problem. I know quite a few bus drivers in St. Mary's county, of course there are always the few who are like how you described. I know the bus drivers are required to carry a cell phone through the board of transp., but are not allowed to talk while driving. Do you know if the bus drivers are county gov't drivers, or if they drive for a contractor? If they drive for a contractor (it will say on the side of the bus), I'd call them and complain. I know bus contractors don't want to loose their business because one of their dipsh*t drivers are putting the kids at risk of harm. You can also complain through the school. Just a suggestion. Board of Transp. doesn't do much!

i understand where you are coming from, i know a lot of bus drivers also and it can be crazy with all those kids (heck it is crazy at times in my veh.with my kids) but there is no excuse to call kids little a$$holes. it is not right, especially with a parent in the office.

i deal with people every day and at times they drive me crazy but if i lost my cool infront of a customer i would be reprimanded, there was no attempt to even appologize for the language.

I agree that everybody needs to watch their language at work, it's unprofessional to do otherwise. But, just to play devil's advocate, a lot of those kids may deserve the insult. Maybe a few more parents would tell their kids to straighten up and act right in public if they heard what people say after dealing with those kids.

I can remember being a kid on a bus and seeing some awful things done.

i am sure a lot of parents do need to hear that their children are misbehaving, being a parent i would prefer to recieve a bus referral or conduct report from the school explaining to me what my child has done, rather than to have the bus driver just say all the kids on her bus are little a$$holes. how are the parents to know to correct their children?

i am not saying all bus drivers are crazy or mean... just this particular one :howdy:

I'll have to look at the buses, but I believe they are contractors. I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to look into that, because I know my middle schooler's current driver is on the phone constantly.

You're right, I just wanted to play devil's advocate. A referral would be a slightly more professional method than screaming "you little #######s!" :lmao:

btw, there's a reason that I am not a bus driver, or teacher for that matter. I'm not putting with them.
