St. Mary's County Trick-or-Treating

Saturday or Sunday? I'd assume Sunday, but didn't know if communities would choose Saturday, since it's not a school night. Is there any county direction on this?

Halloween in St Mary's county for trick or treating has always been on HALLOWEEN!

I thought so, but is there any way to be sure? I suppose if it's not posted somewhere, it's safe to assume it's on Sunday. I googled and looked at many of the local info sites, and haven't seen anything.

I just want to be sure because my folks are visiting from PA, and it makes a difference in their arrival/departure times.

I read it in the Washington Post. Don't blame me when your kid is upset because you took him/her on the wrong night.

Well, if you're sitting at home on Saturday night and kids keep showing up at your door looking for candy, then it's safe to say they changed it to Saturday night, if no one shows up Saturday night, then that would mean it's on Sunday.

Actually, this is not the case. One year, some bright lightbulb decided that an alternate night would be used instead of HALLOWEEN night. It went over very badly, and the decision to re-schedule trick-or-treating was never approached again.

Halloween has been cancelled for St. Mary's county. Just like fireworks were cancelled. You have to drive to Waldorf for Halloween. And theirs is on Friday. YW
