:lmao: I really hope nobody is buying this crap. I'm pretty sure that most of 234, (one of the "northern sides"), is zoned RPD, so they would have to get a variance to get re zoned to commercial. If they want to open in 2016 then ground would have been broken by now, hell even a 2017 opening would require the initial permitting process to have begun.

Hey, the underground mall in Mechanicsville went in super fast! Most folks had no idea it was there until the grand opening radio broadcast that T-Bone and Heather did!

Yep. As a non-North Beach/Ches Beach resident who now has parents living there (in North Beach), to me, they are the same place. I understand the dividing line but in reality to the layperson, it's the same place.

Actually, the first time I went to help my parents move in, I followed their directions of "Go through Ches. Beach until you get to North Beach." Knowing that North Beach was the next town north past Ches Beach and not paying much mind on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I drove through Ches. Beach until I hit "open" road again and figured "North Beach is up next." Obviously I had to turn around and head south to find their place.

And I tell everyone I'm from "about 25 miles south of Washington, DC. This is because no one had ever heard of Waldorf ........... and if they did, I surely didn't want to acknowledged that I lived there.

Yeah, that big 6X6 sign saying "Welcome to the Town of North Beach" is easy to miss.

Ok kiddies, because some of you are geography challenged.

The water park some of you have located in North Beach is in Chesapeake Beach. Two separate towns, two separate sets of things to do.

I believe I'm the one that said Chesapeake Beach / North Beach area and since the two separate towns are actually right beside each other you could blink and be in the other town.

:yay: That's another thing I was wondering about.

 The sign is nearly as big as the land mass, which is measured in acres, as it is not even 1 square mile.

CB is not quite 3 square miles, (2.79) so we're not talking a big metropolis here. :killingme

You are correct, but when people put Herrington Harbor in the wrong place, as well as the Boardwalk and the water park. And Kellam's Marina or even the Rod N Reel, it gets annoying. Not as much as when the Deputies assigned to the two Towns write up a report with the incorrect location.

I am NOT native to Calvert County. I just know that those locations are all right there next to one another so it's not a big deal to me . You sound like you're an elitist and it obviously bothers you.

ugh, just what we need. More traffic.

If you leave the southern Maryland area and tell people what town/county you're from, you might as well just say southern Maryland. Nobody really cares beyond that. Same goes for NoChes Beach. It's the same place to anyone who doesn't live there. :howdy:

Most people not from southern maryland think PG county when you say southern maryland.

When I interviewed with my new company, I was really impressed with their organization but ultimately felt I wouldn't sign on due to their location (they are based just north of Baltimore). However, I got an offer letter with a statement that they were interestd in me overseeing their work in Southern Maryland.

I drive to Laurel / Jessup every day ............

And another thing - the facebook page is a 'community' facebook page, NOT a business facebook page. Any Joe Blow off the street can create a community facebook page and call it whatever they want. If someone was to email the person listed on the page and say they want to be an investor - I'm sure they will gladly take your money.

For someone living there .... of course not. For someone out of the area, it might as well say "North Chesapeake Beach." I see this bothers you though (being considered the same area). I don't see why though. I personally like North Beach a lot.

In another tread in that Mango's was northern Calvert Co. I was promptly corrected that it was actually in Anne Arundel county.

Foxhound's parents have a house in that area - their physical address is NorthBeach, and Mango's is a mere barely 3 block walk. Mango's Google Maps address is also NorthBeach. At least on my Google Maps it is.
