St. Mary's Hospital Improving

Railroad

Routinely Derailed
My experiences there have been better and better lately. It wasn't long ago that I had a very low opinion of the place - as a result of direct experience.

But in the past 2 or 3 visits there, I've noticed:
  • Much shorter waiting times
  • Alert, caring, and competent staff
  • Improved records accuracy and re-use of data instead of repeating the same questions over and over
  • Reduced pain - from "a lot" to "none"
  • Better results (effective treatment and fast recovery)
I think I'm seeing great improvements and I'm glad I have a reason to say so.

Yes, I agree. I had to take my 2 year old son there for an injury to his finger. We saw a nurse in the triage area right after signing in. No wait and she was wonderful to my little guy. We were in and out in 10 minutes.

They were wonderful to my father during his stay. The number of times I had to "hunt" someone down or ask twice for something were GREATLY reduced from previous years.

This is good news.

I almost can't wait to get hurt so I can see for myself.

That can be arranged. Just cozy up to appy and the horsey mafia will come after you soon enough. :lmao:

I've also noticed an improvement! The only time that there is a long wait while we've been there is when the Motocross guys from Budds Creek are having a big race. I asked them why they went there instead of LaPlata and they all said because it was so nice!

At first glance, I was horrified! :eyebrow:
I had both of my babies there and was treated like a Queen. I won't be having any more, but I also was impressed! :yay:

My stay there 3 weeks ago was awesome! The nurses and staff (minus one nurse) were awesome! Very attentive and really listened to what you had to say. Also- they were very informative and kept you up to date on everything that was happening.

I haven't had many good experiences at the ER in years past, but my wife and I can vouch for the OB. :yay: They are excellent. If they can improve service through the ER to that level, it'll be a great hospital.

Go to dinner with Dems. Maybe the dumpster lid will smack you on the head.

Wait. I guess that would have to happen before you'd go to dinner with Dems

I had to take my lil one there last night. We did have to wait for almost 3 hours before we were taken back but there were several ambulances that came in so I didn't mind. The staff was very pleasant. The doctor was awesome. I can't remember his name but he's been his doctor there for the past 3 visits. :yay: :yay:

A couple a years ago I wouldn't have been caught dead in St. Mary's Hospital. When I was going through my Trigeminal Neuralgia deal, and in more pain than should be humanly possible (and almost is) they treated me like crap. Recently had surgery in The Ambulatory Surgery Center and everyone there was great!! Almost restored my faith in the place.

Why do you take him to the ER so often?
