Yep just keep giving your money to those on welfare or the crackheads going through rehab. Don't forget those who make a living using the system to become professional unemployment collectors.
You are so ignorant!

Everyone should have to pay their own way through life. I don't care if someone is handicap, disabled, or on welfare. It is not my responsibility to pay their bills.

Sad....

What about those birth defects that just happen? Do you feel the same way towards them?

I hope nobody in your immediate family ever gives birth to a special needs child.

That should be the parents responsibility. If you have a kid that requires care above and beyond the norm. That should be the parents responsibility to bear. Not the taxpayers.

Statements like this are a result of the uninformed and self centered...

Or from people who pay their own way and have made contingency plans in case something goes wrong.

"The Supreme Court of the United States held that the IDEA authorizes reimbursement for private special-education services when a public school fails to provide a FAPE and the private school placement is appropriate, regardless of whether the child previously received services through the public school. (Pp. 6–17.) The court said: “Moreover, when a child requires special-education services, a school district’s failure to propose an IEP of any kind is at least as serious a violation of its responsibilities under IDEA as a failure to provide an adequate IEP.” Id. at 8. The court noted, “we conclude that IDEA authorizes reimbursement for the cost of private special education services when a school district fails to provide a FAPE and the private-school placement is appropriate, regardless of whether the child previously received special education or related services through the public school.” Id at 19."

You want to change it, run for President, or get your J.D. and try to become a Supreme Court judge.

I'll stick to my post. Very few people have the dollars to serve as a contingency plan for every unforseen situation.

OK how about an example of how they can't do their job now?

I want to see what more fiction you can come up with.
How about not playing games and doing their jobs. Stop blaming their problems and their failures on the BOCC. Get their budgets in on time and actually learn the county processes and procedures so they don't have to get schooled at the BOCC meetings.
