State Highway Administration sleeping on the job

I was driving down 235 from First Colony to Ridge and noticed alot of trash along the state roads yesterday and rt 4 is just as bad heading to the bridge the trash trucks just blow tons of trash from off top of their trucks daily going from Calvert to VA.Do the state still get the jail birds out to pick up trash along the roads or do it just build up?

Maybe you should look into an adopting a highway program to volunteer with. If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.

I thought the trash trucks couldn't use the bridge since the study said that is why the bridge is falling down.

I am going to call the state today and see if I can place a bid to pick up the trash so I can put some of the job less folk to work that live in this county that are sleeping on the old library's door steps .

I think all none violent jail birds should be out walking the streets and roads EVERYDAY picking up snow. Rain, snow, sleet or wind. If our USPS is working then they should be out picking up trash.

Why should anyone other than the one that put the trash there have to pick it up? If it is the larger refuse haulers make their company clean it up or fine them so that they don't allow it to happen.

Another problem I see around the transfer stations, at least the one in Charlotte Hall/New Market/Mechcanicsville, call that area what you want is trash that has blown out of peoples cans and trucks who are taking it to the transfer station to dump, New Market Turner Rd (Rt6) heading towards Huntersville is a pretty scenic route with farms and some McMansions (Parletts) but it is littered with trash alot times. All Faith Chruch Rd also. People need to secure their loads better and keep St.Marys roadways beautiful and litter free.

It's not just on the way to the transfer stations. Some azzwhipe threw a toilet off on the side of St. Johns road. Ya I know, someone will make a joke about johns...

They will stop the vehicle and if he is not hauling in accordance with the regulations he will be havily fined. If you see someonew throw trash from their vehicle or trash falls out of their vehicle, call the local law enforcement. The vehicle will be stopped and checked out.

They will stop the vehicle and if he is not hauling in accordance with the regulations he will be havily fined. If you see someonew throw trash from their vehicle or trash falls out of their vehicle, call the local law enforcement. The vehicle will be stopped and checked out.

That will be like when I called in a drunk driver and followed him on the cell phone while talking with the police and telling them were he was for 15min and the guy still made it home while running off the road 9 times before the cops pulled him over.

Aren't you the same person who said the police aren't doing their jobs by not enforceing traffic laws? Perhaps you need another hobby. People who look at perceived deficiencies by others end up miserable. You don't seem to be a happy person. I feel bad for you. Maybe you should look into a hobby or something.

Also as mentioned, Cherles Co. is conducting a mission on ticketing people for uncovered or unsecure loads.

No I'm not the same person that said cops were not doing their job of enforceing traffic laws. What I said is the governor needs to implement the Md State Highway Patrol. I just don't want to see our county ending up looking like a dump like PG county's roadways do full of litter.
