I'm watching the pre-speech on MSNBC. I'm taking notes on my laptop throughout the speech for one of my classes tomorrow.

Call me stupid (just outta touch) but I don't getthe purple fingers.....
The Iraqis that voted got their fingers marked with indelible purple ink to show that they'd already voted. So the Iraqi attendees are holding up their purple fingers to show that they were able to vote for their leadership for the first time in their lives.

The iraqis who voted got purple dye on their fingers so they couldnt vote again (that or they used finger prints)... it was like an 'i voted' sticker

Yep, GW was strong, he had conviction, and I didn't hear him flub a sentence neither(SmallTown :lmao: ).

He sounded like a president; he held forth his values - up for the world to see.

He impressed the heck out of me, but I was biased towards him anyway; perhaps one of the best speeches he's ever given.

He laid out an excellent case for freedom - around the world. That if we can get these Middle-Eastern countries toward the road to freedom and democracy, it will be a much safer world for our children and their kids.

Hard to beat that kind of thinking.
