On 2/25/2024, Cpl Ditoto conducted a traffic stop at 21660 Great Mills Road, Lexington Park, MD. Tpr Lewis arrived and assumed the investigation which revealed that Steve Yair Hernandez-Maldanado, 20 of Lexington Park, MD was driving while under the influence. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected Cocaine.
Hernandez-Maldanado was uncooperative throughout the investigation. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of CDS: Not Cannabis, Possession of CDS: Paraphernalia, and Obstructing & Hindering. He was also issued numerous traffic citations related to driving under the influence.
