The below incidents, investigations, and arrests are, in part, demonstrative of the Prince Frederick Barrack's effort to ensure that Calvert County is a safe place to live, work, and visit.

Firearm Violation

On July 28, 2021, TFC. Rucker conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Route 4 and Traskers Blvd., Prince Frederick, MD. Tpr. Moorman responded to assist and a probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle. During the search, a Glock 9mm handgun and marijuana was recovered. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 24-year-old, Norvell Hunter of Lusby, MD. Hunter was placed under arrest for the handgun violation and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.

Firearm Violation

On June 30, 2021, Senior Trooper Costello responded to the area of Route 2 and Route 260, Chesapeake Beach, MD for a report of a traffic accident. Investigation revealed that the vehicle was disabled and not involved in a traffic accident. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and two Ruger handguns were located along with suspected marijuana and MDMA. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 41-year-old James Taylor of Harwood, MD. The passengers were identified as 30-year-old Danielle Bryant and 37-year-old Nakia Young, both of Washington, DC. Taylor was arrested and charged with CDS (not marijuana) and handgun violations. Young was charged with providing a false name to Police, an outstanding warrant, and CDS (not marijuana). Bryant was charged with CDS (not marijuana). All three individuals were placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
