 I read your post and then Sharon's question and that popped in my head. I'm not sure if I would want to work with children all day then come home and deal with my own. Good luck.
 the worse thing is that the pay sucks. but, it's what i've always wanted to do. :ohwell:

If you want to be a teacher or paraeducator, you need to learn to start your sentences with a capital letter, all the cool kids are doing it.

I was - not any more

I was a stay at home Mom while my kids were pre-school. They were the best nine years of my life. My hubby was very supportive, telling people when they asked about my job that I was working harder than him. When the youngest went to full-day school, I started working part time, in the school system, so I had the same vacations they had.

Once they were all middle school and older, I got a 'real' job, with a real paycheck and benefits.

It's not for everyone, but staying home with mine was sure the right thing for me. They all credit me with teaching them how to read, as well as other basic academic skills.

Enjoy your time at home, Sockgirl.

pretty black roses
There are times when I would like to stay home and not work but there are days when I am HAPPY to come to work! I don't think I would stay at home even if it were fesible.......I did that for a month after getting out of the Navy and I had to find a job real quick! I got bored.

i know how to. it's just quicker for me to type this way. there are alot of educated ppl in here who don't feel like wasting their time on the shift key! i do want to be a teacher, not a paraeducator! in the schools i went to paraeducators were either hall monitors or SDC monitors. didn't get paid crap for dealing with us crapheads!
