Stewart released from contract with Gibbs

Sweet 16

I don't believe you would even know who Tony Stewart is if not for his relationship with Gibbs.

WTF is that supposed to mean? I have been a Gibbs/JGR and Tony fan for a long time and am well aware of Tony's history prior to NASCAR. What I mean is I am sad to see the relationship end. Period. Tony and Joe are both businessmen and when it comes down to it, it's every man for himself. I don't delude myself into thinking otherwise.

no they don't. Even with good drivers, there stuff it not that great along with the drivers. They don't have near the personel(especially engineers) they need to have teams running upfront every race. I don't think you know what it takes to run a team, or know how involved it is. For instances, Gibbs and Hendrick motorsports have over 90 engineers, dei has 11 (friend who I went to school with intern for them for 2 years), and hass has about the same as dei. I bet you know nothing about how to setup a car, let alone the parts of a car.

Yep, everyone knows Hendrick stuff isn't that great and that their cars can't win races or championships. :sarcasm:

And BTW, the JGR drivers are gonna be at each others throats in 2009 when NASCAR takes thier extra horse power away.

Dig deeper, Watson.

With Toyota stuffing NASCAR's pockets, I highly doubt thats gonna happen anytime soon.

:bs:

The horsepower advantage is in Nationwide, and isn't limited to Toyota. Toyota, Ford and Dodge all run their Cup engines in Nationwide. Only Chevy doesn't, because NASCAR won't allow them. But again, that's Nationwide.

So you don't think that its just a bit odd that Toyota teams such as Waltrip's team, and the Red Bull team that could barely qualify last year are suddenly fielding competitive cars? I'm sorry, I just don't buy it.

And I don't buy that JGR cars that while good last year are now all of a sudden completely dominant on a consistent basis after switching to Toyota.

I believe you are incorrect Sherlock. It is in both Series. Do some research.

Total mystery isn't it? Good thing we have Sherlock/Digger on top of it!

Correct. On the chassis dyno, the gibbs toyotas are putting about 20+ more hp to the wheels compared to the next guy in line which I believe was a Chevy team. I think ford was even further behind. It is worse in the nationwide series because chevy is still using the SB2 where as in cup they are using the RO7.

Yes, as a matter in fact, I do. :diva:

All the Toyota's were chit last year, which is why Toyota brought in Joe Gibbs. Toyota paid the money to get a team that can build engines worth a damn, and now they've got cars capable of contending instead of cars filling out the last 10 spots on the grid.

Money talks.

And if Jack Roush has a problem with being outspent by someone else, he can cry himself to sleep because that's all Jack Roush has ever done - those guys at Roush Fenway spend money like drunken sailors. It's typical though, when one driver is dominant in a season, every other manufacturer crys foul.

This goes back to the 1990s.

Run what you brung. Kyle Busch can run his car loose. Loose=FAST. The other two drivers aren't running as strong.

Simply put, Wildthing's putting a whippin' on them.

???????? Kyle runs a car with alot of yaw where other drivers don't. Toyota does have more power, its been proven on the chasis dyno once the top end changes got approved last year by nascar before charlotte. Toyota still gives Gibbs there motor parts, mark conquest just assembles them. There is a difference between building and assembling. Gibbs tried some of there own stuff at the all star race and everyone pretty much blew up. Conspiracy theories? Give me a break. I know a lot more people in the industry than you ever will.

:roflmao:

Yep, that's right. It's all been disproven by NASCAR, and I don't care what Jack Roush thinks. Everytime he's losing, Jack Roush whines about the other manufacturer. Roush is a friggin' crybaby, always has been.

You know more people in NASCAR than I ever will? Puh-leeaze. My people tell me your people are wrong.

If all the Toyota's are that much better than everyone else in horsepower, why hasn't Tony won? Why hasn't Hamlin won several races? Why hasn't Brian Vickers won? Why hasn't Michael Waltrip won? :pete:

Kyle runs a car that gets looser than everyone else, thus able to hold more speed going through the corners. And his car is sideways loose all the time. It just so happens that while everyone else is on their radios :bawl: about their racecars, Wildthing takes what he's got and races with it.

I don't like jack roush, I also think he is a whiner. I am also definitely not a jr fan either. Tony should of won at least 3 races by now. (no I am not a tony fan either) DO know that nascar takes a few of the top finishers at certain races and takes them to a chassis dyno??? Obviously you have no idea what goes on in nascar besides what you read on the internet and hear on tv....

Obviously you have no idea about NASCAR whatsoever. Do you really think the last time they dyno checked the racecars was at Daytona in February?

When somebody's winning every race, everyone's scrutinizing them more than anyone else. The people at SPEED are looking for everything they can (Harvick's illegal tires:killingme). Someone winning 6 races does not have an unfair advantage. After 6 wins in only 18 races, NASCAR's looking long and hard at what Wildthing's got going on. So far, all they've found is that everytime he goes to the urinal, he pisses out more talent than some of these other drivers will ever have.

What are you talking about? I never said they check the racecars in daytona in February. Obviously you can't read and you like to show your lack of knowledge about nascar:killingme They just recently checked them, and its the same thing they have seen all year.... It appears to me you watch way too much speed... Kyle is a good driver. Would he be winning and doing as well if he were not in the that gibbs car? Probably not. He does not make up the whole team.....

:bigwhoop:

And, obviously, if there was some bf difference over the the horsepower, just recently, I assure you every other crew chief and car owner up pit row would be throwing a fit.

So far, only person to do so is Rick Hendrick.....IN THE NATIONWIDE SERIES!

So, evidently, the only person who's concerned about it is you.

The 15-20hp difference is in the Nationwide Series. So, obviously, the other teams aren't that concerned. Besides, they run tapered spacers in NWS anyways.

NASCAR said you conspiracy theorists are all :liar:

Two years ago, :jameo: Kevin Harvick's running illegal tires :jameo:

Last year, :jameo: Rick Hendrick's cheating :jameo:

This year, :jameo: Toyota has more horsepower :jameo:

What's next? They should mandate Ky's car be tighter than everyone else.

It's people like you who ruin racing, turning NASCAR into politics.
