Stinky kitty

My little man stinks...

He has gas and makes the box smell like death. It is so bad it makes me ill. I have worked it hospitals for many years and have an iron stomach..but cleaning out the box makes me gag. I tried putting things in the box and they have helped..but now I am thinking I may need to change the kitty's food. what should I look for? I have not been giving him wet food and that helps a bit..but he misses it so I want to find a good dry and wet food that wont prodice such a God-awful smell....

I think I am going to try that..I should probably mix the two before switching it.

*Most* cats don't react as badly to a change in foods as dogs do.
I don't know where you are located but if you are in southern Calvert, stop by the store for free samples. We do not like to sell food unless the animals have tried it and liked it.

Just a quick side note I love EVO, but the Protien is very high and in older cats especially breeds that are known for kidney problems (IE Persians in my case) this food is not ideal for them when they are older. I changed to Artemis when I had issues and have had good luck. I too have a stinky cat and after 2 mo on Artemis her box smelled better then it did. For healthy younger cats I love EVO.

Good point about the protein...Natura makes other good foods with lower protein. Artemis is also a high quality food (though we don't carry it at this time)

It can depend on the protein source (same with older dogs).
