Go to the landfills; Limited quantities of sandbags are available to County Residents who reside in coastal areas that are subject to storm surges and flooding. The stockpiles of sandbags will be located at the Charlotte Hall, Ridge, Valley Lee, Oakville, and Clements Transfer Stations. Approximately 300 sandbags will be available at each location on a first come first served basis. Attendants at each site will distribute 8 to 10 bags per household. The Convenience Centers will be open until 6:30pm on Thursday, August 31 and will reopen at 7AM on Friday, September 1.

Is anyone watching the news?

Did I just hear D.C. and Maryland have declared a state of an emergency?

Channel 4's on-line site says... Virginia's governor has declared a state of emergency.

I just e-mail Wolftrap...I have tickets for a show tomorrow night.

Row row row your boat. :ohwell:

I just finished mapping out a travel plan for tomorrow and I doubt I'll get out if the rain is as bad as they are predicting it to be. But often, the weather people jump up and down about how bad something is going to be and we get a big fat nothing. I hope it isn't going to be bad at all. I can tolerate a steady rain, but I really don't want to be out in a heavy down pour.

I'm almost hoping that Wolftrap cancels the show. I really don't want to drive in a heavy downpour. It's not safe. I also don't want to be out $150.

Whatever plans you have, be safe!
