Can anyone suggest a local pick your own strawberry place in St. Marys/Charles County? I would like to take the kids this weekend. In the past I have taken them to Westmoreland Berry Farm in Va but that is getting to be too far a drive.

thanks :howdy:

yeah yeah
There is that new place that was advertised on the front page of somd.

Southern Comfort Berry Farm or something like that.

It is in St. Mary's, down in the 7th District area. Bushwood.

Southern Comfort Berry Farm --

Go north through Leonardtown and turn left on 234. When you get to the 4 way stop at Anderson's Bar, take a left (Colton's Point Road). Keep going until you get to Avenue and Capt'n Sams gas station - there is a ball field across from it. Take a right on the road right after the ball field - Bushwood Wharf Road. Berry farm is the second house down ( I think it's the second one...) anyway - you can't miss it.

You're Welcome!

Little ol' Me
In Charles county

follow about halfway to right on Schagel Rd
Follow "S" Road
2nd Driveway on your left (they will have signs)

They have the most wonderful strawberries and good prices

2. Wait till next year
3. Send kids out back with baskets
4. Enjoy coffee, beer or Pepsi

No need to elaborate on the people, they just are, but ask where their bloodhound is. Not saying the berry picking will be a bad experience. I just can't handle folks that can't handle their pets in a decent way.
