I just went to McKays and bought a prestuffed and seasoned breast of veal from their meat case, it looks delicious..only one problem...I've never cooked veal before, stuffed or otherwise. How long should I bake this for? Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Make it quick though, I'm getting ready to open my wine.

I have no clue, but that sure does sound good! I would think maybe 350 degrees until it's not pink?? Let us know how it turned out.

From what I remember about veal cook until just rare. Stuffing puts another factor in there though, make sure that gets to, what is it ,165 until it's safe?

I'm thinking 375 and if you have a meat thermometer, it should probably be about 160* at the thickest part. Timewise, without knowing the weight, it would be hard to say.

Thats why I bought it, it looked delicious sitting there in the meat case. I've got it in the oven now at 350, covered and thinking about an hour. Its not very thick ,but alot of stuffing. I'll let you know how it turns out.:buddies:

Thanks, I put it in a 350 oven and covered it with foil. I'm thinking internal temp of 160 with a thermometer.

Check the package. Many times pre-made/pre-stuffed items have cooking recommendations on the label. Sometimes the label peels off and the instructions are underneath.

I did that and nothing. Oh well, I going by instinct now. 350 oven for an hour and check with the meat thermometer. Wish me luck.

from the way she cooked it Im guessing really dry unless she changed her method

Not if she checked with the meat thermometer periodically. I'm not a veal person and have no idea how you'd cook it except as lightly sauteed scallopini.
