Stupid Smokers...

It irritates my husband to the point that he wants to get out of the car and bury the ciggy, cherry and all, up the offenders butt! I have to agree with him. I hate being stuck at a light and someone tosses one out and I have my windows open and I have to sit there and smell the nasty thing as it burns.

Dont get me wrong here though. I really dont care about people doing whatever they want with their life. All im trying to say is people are so oblivious to what they do sometimes its really just childish.

I just dont like the "I dont care about you" train of thought that alot of people have. Would you like it if i tossed #### at your car? The only way you would say no is if you have no respect for what you drive and only assume that others think the same way.

the idea...smoking is harmfull, dangerous, and america needs to stop!
the solution...ban smoking in all public places
(smokers have ultimately no say so in the matter)

(this is where i get scientific so prepare yourself)
driving an average of 60 miles an hour, flicking a cig butt out an open window will usually travel outwards of 2-3 feet. the onrush of air forced by the foreward momentum of said vehicle is too great for less that 2oz of "lit" paper to overcome.
However at an average of 60mph, the aerodynamics of ANY vehicle will force said piece of "lit" paper to the rear of the vehicle instantaneously. As soon as the rear of the vehicle is reached, the downdraft of said vehicle at an average of 60mph will usually force the cig butt to the pavement at reasonably safe distance of 10-15 feet behind vehicle.
The reason i say "safe distance"
is that....

if i'm doing 60 and you are right beside me........air pressure will force the cig away from you....end result....your safe

at 60.....if your 10-15 behind me
YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE

Reaad last Sunday's OPUS.. what did he say.. 27 POUNDS a year of litter from each smoker.. how many smokers in this country.. how many TONS of garbage on the road is that??

When I did smoke I didn't fling my butts out the window, I think it's disgusting. Looking at the butts piled up at all the intersections.. Bad enough if you choose to smoke, have enough class to take care of your smoking detritus..

I would come home with 10 - 12 butts in my pocket, I would never throw them on the ground, it was my nasty habit, I didn't need anyone cleaning up after it.
