Summer Programs in Calvert

I need some help.
Can anyone recommend a safe/secure daycare, or youth center that has a great summer program for 9 yr old in Calvert Co? Near or around PF? (no in-home providers.) I just found out my step-daughter will be spending the summer with us. I want her to have fun and be happy while she's with us, but both her Dad and I have to work full time. We've got enough leave saved up to take 3 weeks off, but the rest of the summer, I'm going to have to find somewhere for her. She's never been in MD, so its going to be scary for her with a new facility/kids and that makes me worry and very anxious.
Suggestions? Advice?

I googled that. Looks fun, and I like their list of thing they teach children. But I don't know if her dad or her would like that. Do you have a child enrolled? We need something that is all day up until the last week of July. (7am to 4pm) We'll check it out though.

Edit: I just called them. The summer program sounds really fun and awesome and exactly what we need. Thanks for posting that recommendation! Now I just have to see if Dad and daughter are interested.

Parks and Rec have summer camps.They take the kids to the waterpark in Chesapeake beach and Six flags and movies and bowling and just to the mall.Lots of stuff.Call them and see what exactly they offer

It's great! I have a child in the after-school program and he's doing awesome! :yay: :yay:

Ok, talked it over with the husband and step-daughter. The Black Belt Academy is a no-go right now. She's afraid the kids will be mean, and doesn't want to spend 9 hours a day working out (for 5 weeks). I kind of don't blame her. She's hesitant about trying it out. I said we'll look for a back-up.

What she wants is a Protestant Bible camp program around Calvert. Summer Bible camp thing; preferably in a Baptist church. We don't go to church right now, so I don't know of any. (Parks and Recreation is out of the question. Researched that, to no avail. Couldn't find anything within our pick-up/drop-off time needs.)

Anyone take their kid to a Baptist/Protestant daycare? Let me know.
