Super Giant in Lusby is OPEN!

I wish Safeway was in Lusby/Solomons... maybe Food Lion will leave. :jet:

Giant went downhill when the Cohens sold it.

The Safeway in Prince Frederick, while new and large, has gone way down. They're doing some remodeling so we'll see.

The Giant in PF is okay, the prices are better at Giant than Safeway though.

Produce doesn't seem great anywhere anymore. :frown: What I like to do is go to Nicks for meats and then hit Food Lion (very close to Nicks) for the frozen/canned stuff...but their produce isn't very good at all.

You're a LOON :)
We went there tonight to try out the salad bar for dinner. So many people there just looking around  There were alot of registers open so the lines were not bad at all. Salad bar was pretty good but $4.99 so Dh's salad was almost $8.

My only complaint is that we got a pound of steamed shrimp and when we got home and went to peel the first one it was raw.

We drove through the parking lot and saw what else was coming: Another hair salon, Another dry cleaners, another nail salon. Also saw a hallmark and a chicken/japanese restuarant I think.. and a Ledo's Pizza and still lots of empty places.

I haven't been yet... I will try to avoid the masses since I will have 3 kids grocery shopping with me.

I will still do 90% of my shopping @ Walmart. Giant is expensive. Sometimes close to double that of Walmart for the same exact item/brand. I will go there for some good sale items and that will be all. I just hate to pay $1.59 for a can of veggies that I can get at Walmart for .99. It adds up quick.

The Giant by my in-laws has GREAT sales on their chicken breast, but I cannot find the same deals @ the California Giant..So my fingers are crossed that our new one does!

The Giant is having some excellent sales for the opening... I'm going in tomorrow.... course it might snow too... that should be interesting... store opening shopping and snow shoppers all in one place....:killingme

By the way... I need to spread the word because I promissed my daughter I would... do you know that the seat in a grocery cart hurts the legs of the kids? That bar is rough on the kids...

My daughter use to like it when I put a towel in the seat and it cushioned the leg area....

Just passing it on... kids sometimes don't know that we care about those little things....

My wife bought a grocery cart seat pad/cover for our daughter. It came in handy! it fit in both grocery cart seats and resturaunt high chairs. I think it was only $40. Well worth the money. :howdy:
