I am not a pleasant dining companion right now, believe me!
I don't believe that - you're always a pleasant dining companion, even if you're rasping and choking.

Glad to hear your surgery went well - you weren't a happy camper last time I saw you. :huggy:

Good luck bcp!

Its only wrong if she has no intention of rolling up in it with me.

but, from past history, bubble wrap might not be such a bad idea for me.

He's probably on really good mind-altering drugs.

Good luck BCP!
I wish.
they wont give me anything good from here on out becuase they think if I have no pain I could end up screwing things up worse.
So, until surgery, I figure me and the couch are going to become very close.
oh, and the dog, for some reason he wont let me out of his sight right now.
I just went out on the front porch to smoke (yes I know, brilliant idea right now) and had to lay down on the porch to do so, he stood at the door barking at me as if he was concerned about me being out there laying down.
its good to have such a strong dog with the ability to pull me around if I need it.

I have two disks that have exploded and are currently crushing the nerves that run down to my left leg. It hurts constantly, but if I sit or stand it puts additional pressure on the nerves and becomes almost unbearable.

And I thought I had it bad when one of my disks fell apart two years ago. I have no idea how or why but it no longer causes the pain you speak of, which it did for some months. I have learned my limitations however and never overdo it as far a lifting a weight goes. It must have effected a nerve because my right foot is partially numb but that is nothing. My oldest son fell off a ladder months ago and really messed his back up and has to take some major pills to quell the pain. He's soon to probably get Plexiglass injected. Never heard of this before but his doctor says he's seen it work wonders and some people return to normal with no more pain. I'd rather deliver a baby than have back pain.

At last, after making an appointment with a new surgeon yesterday, my original surgeon called today and said that surgery was needed, and the schedualer would call on the 1st to set the date with me.
I could be in the repair shop before the end of that week.

Last night I got up and walked into the kitchen, coming back out of the kitchen my leg started to tingle, then it went to a burning feeling, then it started to hurt.

next thing I know is Im laying on the floor with my daughter yelling at me to wake up, my wife is standing beside me there is blood on the floor where I cracked my head when I landed, and the room is filled with EMTs.

so, another night in the ER.

All I can say is that Im really starting to get tired of this whole process.
:huggy: I hope you get better really soon.
