I think we BRIEFLY considered it. It's generally the most expensive route you can take, and there's a lot of legal issues involved. We went the adoption route rather than surrogate or fertility specialists because at the end of the day, when you pay all the money - you have a child. The other paths were expensive and they guaranteed absolutely nothing.

We might have looked further if we had a healthy family member willing and able to do it - someone who would bear the burden largely out of a desire to help us rather than for profit. But there really wasn't anyone.

maybe look for some local mom forums in the area. Start asking on there. Here is a website you can look at Welcome Page for surrogates

Check it out. There might be some stuff on there for you to look at. Donor 107 is in VA.

#88 is from MD and will be 25 in May and #107 is from VA and will be 23 in Feb. 21 must be the age requirement because there are a few that are 21, non younger. The total anticipated charges range from $38,560-$52,410.

Good luck JLS :howdy:

I know a woman from another forum who has been a surrogate several times. She's pregnant now as a matter of fact. I'll ask her, how she gets hooked up with people. She's from this area.

You wouldn't be interested in adopting a child who didn't have your eyes or nose?

What if that child might bring you the greatest joy you've ever known?

I can't really help you with your question, but I just wanted to put it out there that I'm available for surrogate fathering.
