I agree. But this is America and people are allowed to drive what they want.

Mig, what I see are little bitty cars wanting to play chicken with the big boys. They dart in and out of traffic, cutting people off, etc. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned it's just a matter of taste. Some people drive a jazzy little sports car because it looks good. Some people drive an SUV because they feel more secure.

One more thing: if anything, they should put a ban on itsy bitsy death mobiles, not SUVs. But, again, this is America.

What's the sense of having a small car but for that reason alone? My commuter car is 92 Sentra that I can put just about anywhere.

See, and there's that, too. When we're going downtown, Larry and I are more likely to drive my Jeep rather than the Sequoia because we can park it easier. I also prefer my Jeep on the beltway so I can evade truckers that try to squish me between them.

It's all in personal taste and what you want the vehicle for. I love the functionality of my suv and wouldn't want another "car" unless it was a second vehicle. I enjoy the ride sitting up higher, I can see more of the road ahead of me, have more storage capacity than my car ever did, and a bunch of other perks.

For me, it works. For someone who is single, no kids, and doesn't transport a lot of stuff all the time, it might not make sense. :ohwell:

Bottom line: drive what works for you.
