Well, I wrench on my 650 Suzuki from time to time, and am working hard on my GooglePro certification, whats the question?

I understand the single lung 650 savage has an inherent problem with backfiring and rough takeoffs. I also understand there is a carburetor fix or adjustment to solve this.
Question is: What, how, and is it something that someone with some mechanical aptitude can fix without special tools or other equipment?
If it's important, it's a 2001 with 11K miles.

Try finding a motorcycle forum, those guys can be very helpful too. And some have parts laying around.

No problem, I cant count the number of times I have been helped or found information out there for myself, so paying it back is a hobby:)

Stop by "motovationcycles" in mechanicsville and ask for Dan, they should be able to help you.

Dan is leaving Saturday on his GS for Alaska but the guys in the shop should be able to help
