So many firsts there.. not closely qualified, but that isn't important to the dems, just checking "first" boxes..

Quoting from Article II, Section I:

US Constitution said:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Keeping in mind she will be 35 in 2024 - which qualification(s) does she not have?

Just wondering how she isn't qualified is all.

She's not qualified to be in a leadership position because she's an idiot. We ask more of our presidential candidates than they be birth citizens and 35 years or older. Well, Republicans do, anyway - you Democrats will take any old dumbass that crawls out of the gutter.

Ah.

You're talking about suitability, not qualifications.

Qualifications are laid out in the Constitution. AOC is qualified. Biden is qualified. Trump is qualified. Hillary is qualified. Obama is qualified. And so on and so forth.

None were suitable.

Read until you understand.

Not really.

Perhaps you can have a shot at it.
We interviewed a dozen people for a position in our section, this week. No one had any experience doing the work that we do, although a few had some programming experience in the language we use.

I guarantee you, the metrics we used for "qualified" extended far beyond "breathing" and "old enough". We do have our eye on one candidate who is so smart, he might be an alien or an advanced android.

I'd at least settle for SOME set of accomplishments other than blathering mindlessly on social media. "Qualified" to me means, can they do the job? And getting my vote will be - is this the best candidate we have? We had Presidents who distinguished themselves in actual battle or wrote the Declaration or the Constitution.

And AOC is the best they can do?

Lately, the most pertinent requirement is - "electable". As in, will they get the votes? The massive Democrat crowd of candidates had few standouts, but they picked JOE because they thought he could WIN.

Well in the case of POTUS, the metrics for "qualified" and laid out in the Constitution, and they are unambiguous. Qualifications for your potential hires are likely described someplace other than the US Constitution.

Not old enough.

She can try, but the constitutional scholar that I asked says you have to be 35 to campaign. Winning the democrat primaries and presidential nomination may be a challenge.

Regardless... most people will see her as too young anyways. Only the most die hard AOC fans will be for her. Obama could at least count on the AA vote as it was massive. AOC is not going to be able to count on the Latin vote as they are heavily leaning Republican.
If she ran, it would be a total waste of time on hers and the Democrat's part...
