From The New York Post:

Illegal ‘migrant influencer’ Leonel Moreno, who mocked America on social media in several viral videos, has been nabbed by federal immigration authorities.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) fugitive operations officers arrested Moreno in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday and he is currently being held at Geauga County Jail, according to ICE records.
The arrest comes after The Post exclusively reported how Moreno had skipped out on ICE soon after crossing the southern border into Texas illegally in 2022 and was now wanted by authorities.

So how does that work with home invasion, if there is such a thing anymore? Masked bad guys bust into your house, you call the cops, and they say, "Oh, we live here. Gots us a lease and everythin'!" And the police are like, "Oh, well, okay....see ya...."? I mean, not that the cops would arrive in time to save your life or anything, but it seems to me that in some states (not Florida :yahoo: ) you could just invade someone's home and evict them at gunpoint, and now it's your house to live in as long as you want.

And why would the squatters be allowed to stay but you wouldn't? They entered illegally, so why couldn't you just go in and kick their asses out even if you entering your own home is considered illegal? If the cops don't know who the rightful owner is and won't do anything, why can't that apply to the rightful owner as well?

I don't really understand how this works. Is it just that in states/cities where this happens, the residents are accustomed to being victims of Democrat policies and political pets, and won't fight back even to claim their rightful home?

There is a way to stop it, I believe Florida just passed a law against squatters.
I don't know its internals, but it is a start.
Of course getting such a law in Maryland with our democrats in Annapolis is an impossibility.

What about states with Castle Doctrine and squatter's rights? If someone breaks into your home and you shoot them dead, did you just protect yourself justified by Castle Doctrine OR did you just shoot a "squatter with a lease?" :sshrug:

I wonder if any of these squatters are leftovers from during COVID when landlords couldn't kick people out for not paying rent during that time.
