Tall tables and chairs at Stoney's

My wife and I just got done dining at Stoney's in Solomons. At first, they wanted to seat us at one of those tall tables with barstool-height chairs, and we insisted on a regular height table instead.

Does anybody actially like to sit up that high when you're dining? I don't think any customers were sitting at any of them the whole time we were there.

Service and food were excellent, once we got seated at a regular-height table.

Well then I guess it's good that they have them for folks who like them. I just didn't realize anybody liked them.

I like em

That is the SOP at most bars isn't it? Like was already said the dining area has normal tables and chairs.

Check out Ornery Pest's website. There is no happiness.

Ornery Pest could go to a bar and hear, "Drinks on the house, all night!!!" Beautiful women could strip nekkid and dance on the bar. His son could say, "You're right, dad, I have been wasting my life. I am applying to med school tomorrow." (I do not know if he indeed has a son, or if his son is a disappointment. For entertainment value only.) And he would STILL be down on life.

The fact that Ornery Pest feels the need to bit(h about table height indicates that he needs something better to do. May I recommend volunteering at...

* Habitat for Humanity
* animal shelter
* (name the breed) rescue
* SoMD special Olympics
* Mary's Song

Ornery, I know you are an old retired guy. Take advantage of your life of leisure, and quit bit(hing. Take your wife to Stoney's and sit in the bar at a high-top. Eat a crab cake. Look out at the water. It doesn't get much better.

Thank you, Tiki Pirate! You know me well, don't you! As a matter of fact, I do volunteer for several things, and my wife and I will continue to sit at the low tables when we dine out, leaving the high tables for others. Aren't we considerate, now?
And oh, yes, my son has been accepted into med school.

Stonies Chairs

I ate at Stonies in Solomons once. Hated the low seating. If I wanted to sit on a $1.00 plastic lawn chair and eat from a $2.00 plastic lawn table, I'd eat at my in-law's patio. At least there it doesn't cost me $50.00 to eat.

That must have been a long time ago. They have had wooden chairs for quite a while.
