I'm curious to see where Joe Nemechek is going. That car seems to be bad luck ... who was it who had a bad wreck in it a couple years back, then Ward Burton drove it and he got let go; Nemecheck took over, and he didn't really blaze any trails in it. Why wouldn't Martin stick with a winner (Roush/6) vs. hopping into that car?

I think Nemechek is supposed to stay with the team, but move to a new car. Even though Mark has gotten close to the championship many times, maybe he feels it's time for a change. I don't know what Mark is thinking.

But wait, there's more...
Okay, yes, MM will be driving a Chevy; yes, it poses a problem b/c he owns a Ford dealership; yes, Nemechek remains with MB2, and will be running the 13 car next season. Hope he's not superstitious.

He's only committed to 22 races in the 01 car though. Kinda hard to have championship hopes with that sort of schedule.

They did talk, though, about removing a lot of pressure off his shoulders. He's going to work with the developmental drivers and help school them.

Good for Mark ... he seems like a good guy. Just interesting considering the truck deal Roush had worked out for him. :ohwell:

Oh wow!

Did you all see T. O. on the sidelines??

Different uniform, different team, still the same old T. O.!

AIN"T NONE OF IT MY FAULT!! YOU HEAR ME?!?!

What a complete azzhole!

On a 3rd and long, going for the endzone, Owens takes off at 3/4 speed, totally confusing the hell out of Drew Bledsoe; Bledsoe tries to compensate and........another blown passplay.

But you watch Owens on the sidelines, yelling "I didn't do nothin' wrong!"

Dude ought to be sent to Canada. Loser

:smack: Get that football talk outta the Nascar thread!

And leave my poor wittle, skittle TO alone; he's still recuperating from his illnesseseseseseseseseseses. :frown:

All I have to say is this: I've been getting more and more into watching NASCAR racing the last 3 years, and today's taking out of Earnhart Jr. on that last lap really frosted my cookies.

There he was set up to win that race, if not finish in the top 5, and he gets wiped out, his chances get erased.

Somehow it don't seem right, to get that far in a race, with that kind of competition, to have it all taken away by some idiot's stupid move.

OK, rant is done. Carry on.

I think Mark is awesome as a human being. I've always wanted to meet him in person. But, I guess that'll never happen. :bawl:

I agree; it was 100% jacked up! I thought -- at first -- that it was JJ's fault, and I was all but headin' to my car, keys in hand to meet up with him in Charlotte and issue him an azz whoopin'. To see it was, in fact, his team mate, really pisses me off, and I hope to hell Hendrick releases him early.

I do, however, partially fault JJ and his crew for that wreck. He's in the chase; he was running second to another chaser. He had a SOLID finish ahead of him in half a lap. Had he just rode it out vs. diving down for a shot at the lead, he'd probably be within 60 points of the leader. But he got greedy, and it cost him AND junior a damn good finish when they both really needed it.

If it sealed JJ's fate as yet again a missed championship, I hope he learns his lesson and locates some patience if he has to reach down that fire suit and up his backside to find it. He's been talking allllllllllllllllllll season long about "big picture racing", but I guess his view was hindered this afternoon.

Why? If anything, I'd guess he'd be more accessible as a driver to the fans at the track now than he was with Roush.

The thought of you getting ticked off, heading to your car, keys in hand,
ready to go over to Charlotte and giving him an azzwhoopin', has me rolling around on the floor holding my stomach!

Not that I've ever seen you in a pizzed off mood or nothin'

He never does any appearances around here, and when I go to the track, I never get to the infield area (either too much $ or just no luck).
