Leukemia, She got about 4 years ago , Beat it and about a month ago it came back hard. She just got her learners.
Iv'e know her since she was about 10

Aww Gumbo that is awful her parents and all their friends. She was way too young to lose her life.

Seriously that is so shiaty. For some reason, it's harder to hear that a teenager died of something like that, rather than an infant. Either way, I'm sure your friend gave their daughter a good and happy life while she was here.

She use to wash my stock car for me before I went to the track.
She was tuff as nails..The whole time she was going through Kemo and radiation she never once complained..She use to make jokes about her skin being yellow and her hair falling out.

It's funny you called her my friend.
But that is the truth even though she was just a kid , She was a friend.

When my ex wife found out she had Cancer. This little girl Kayla..12 at the time was the first one to call and told her not to be scared that if she could do it so could she .

:huggy: It is awful news. Cancer is such a barbaric disease and I’ve seen so many people suffer and have lost many friends, including my own mother, to it. I just hope and pray that one day they find a cure. A child should never have to suffer being treated for it or have their life cut short. :bawl: It is just unfair that nomatter how much they want to live their body fails them.

I really dread tommarow..Because I will cry when I go see my friend.
I really hate to see people is so much pain. But it is something I have to do.

I'm exactly the same as you about that. I never know what to say, words don't come easy, but I've heard people say that they best thing you can do sometimes is just sit with them and it's okay not to have a lot to say. Just being there will mean everything to them.
