Target Portrait Studio

I spent too much at Target, cost me over $200 and the quality wasn't that great. We were kind of rushed too since they scheduled someone 15 mins right after us. Has anyone gone to Wal-marts, it's gotta be lot cheaper.

Then you bought too damn much! Every coupon that I've seen has been $4.99 per sheet with no sitting fees. Half the time you get a free 8x10. There are always coupons next to the register. Plus, the quality is great. Wal*Mart has the crappiest pics. Not to mention that they do NOT have a studio. They have a damn spot next to the door. Crappy crappy lighting.

Have they professionally trained their photographers yet?

I don't know...I'm sure just as much as Target. The Walmart one isn't even run by Walmart. They are some other company who does business out of Walmart. The original poster asked about Target and I said...Walmart was cheaper. I spent $100 at Target to get what I wanted and $27 at Walmart and I cannot tell the difference between the quality of pictures. And at both places it was some young girl who took the pictures...but at Walmart the young girl at least attempted to talk with us and play with my son to get a smile. Just my experience.

Target is the best we have found for kids photos. I think Kathy is the ladies name there that is really good. Plus if you have a coupon you can get some really good deals.

ETA- After reading the thread maybe the lady I'm thinking of is Carol????

I spent over $200. I got one of the packages and the day I went to pick them up I spent another $20 on the extra sheets they offer you when you pick them up. I love my pictures. The quailty isn't as good as what I have gotten from other places but good anyways. We got my husband, me and our two kids.

I wanted a certain kind of picture but we couldn't get my youngest to let us leave her alone to take her picture alone. I felt that the photographer didn't take enough time trying to get her to take the picture. I don't think she really cared either although I had told her beforehand what I wanted and in order to have gotten it I would have had to have a picture of my youngest by herself.

When my oldest was born we had her picture done at Sears. I don't know how the Sears studio is here so I can't give a good opinion and tell you to take them there because I went to the one in Missouri. They did a great job. The lady really knew how to work with the babies. Then again my youngest was an exceptional client I would say. She had just gotten her 1 month shots before I took her there. It was only like an hour afterwards. The lady was upset when we told her that until she started taking her pictures. That was the first time she smiled.

I would say go to Target and get them done and see what you think. I plan on taking my youngest back for her 1st birthday because they have a really cute thing they do for the 1st birthdays. But depending on how many you want you should discuss it with them. I took a coupon with me but with how many pictures we got it was cheaper for me to get one of the packages.
