Corey DeAngelis on surprising results suggesting Republicans are winning on education

In a recent survey by the Randi Weingarten-led American Federation of Teachers, Republicans were found to be winning on the issue of education compared to Democrats. On "Fox & Friends First" Thursday, Corey DeAngelis, senior fellow at American Federation for Children, called the results an "epic self-own."

Perhaps in time, public education will be a thing of the past. I believe the Supreme Court recently ruled that public education funds can be used for private or religious schools. If true, this is potentially a game changer. As more and more parents pull their kids from public education, they public schools will beg for more taxpayer funding to make up for the loss. When have you ever heard of public education saying they have enough funding?

That’s not really what the SCOTUS finding was about, as I assume you’re referencing Carson v. Makin. It will result in states likely reducing funding of private schools.

SCOTUS finding: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/20-1088_dbfi.pdf

But really, if everyone started leaving public schools for private schools, and public education is a “thing of the past” then those previously private schools are just as bad as the public schools, since the smart and dumb kids are no longer kept in separate schools. Also, since government is now funding these private schools, expect tuition to rise a la college credits over the past 25-30 years.

I wonder if anyone ever things through the memes you all get implanted in your heads.

It’s impossible for you to post something without being a narcissist, hypocrite, condescending or racist.

Nice! All four of those words on your summer word list to use in a sentence at least once in a public forum before your promotion to 8th grade is approved?

I think public school is something we need, it's the grifters and Satanists who've infiltrated the public school system - especially at the federal level - that are the problem. ALL children are entitled to an education, and that's something I definitely believe our tax dollars should fund. BUT! The bureaucrats and crap merchants have manipulated it for their own gain, to the detriment of our kids.

THEY are the ones that need to go, not public education.

The federal government needs to be out of the education system completely. State governments need to be limited. School should be controlled locally where it’s closest to the people they can put them out of a job.

My aunt Charlotte was a public school teacher for 38 years in Springfield, MA.
In her opinion the three worst things that happened to public education over that time...

1. The Federal Department of Education, 5% of their funding and 30% of their paperwork.
2. Allowing the teacher's unions to spend money for political purposes.
3. The Vietnam era expansion of Bachelor's level Teaching Degrees to allow more draft dodgers to get draft exemptions. Her husband is a Vietnam combat veteran.

I agree with you to a point about all children are entitled to an education. Once they start being animals though they should be be moved out to a different facility, military school, vocational school (prison), something that gets the non-learners from the learners.

No child left behind has done more to ruin public education than any other policy in my lifetime. Do they even have Special Education classes any more? The NOVA school system of the 60s-70s knew what was what.

"You're not here to get an education? Get the **** out then."

Also: test children periodically, not just on the material they are supposedly learning, but on aptitude. If they're academically inclined, and want to pursue it, push them toward that kind of track. If they're not, but are vocationally inclined, teach them a minimum of what they'll need to function as far as academics, but push them toward a blue collar kind of track.

If a child is neither, or not capable, then let's bring back child labor.

That’s what you call a future real estate agent, police officer, or gym teacher. The world needs those, I guess.

That's racist. As soon as they find that Orientals or whites learn faster, or maybe learn faster is the wrong term. let's say as soon as they find that Orientals and whites apply themselves better, that will be the end of the special classes for the more gifted.

Wait, what am I taking about. That's already been discovered and the special classes for special kids has already taken that hit.

No list. Just thought I would dumb it down to an 8th grade level due your inability to understand anything behind that level. Just an observation.

And yet, it doesn't change the fact that you are...a condescending, narcissist, racist, & hypocrite.

As well as boorish, biased, poorly educated, a liar, only impressive to yourself, and maybe to whatever victims you read to during Drag Queen story time...you poor, confused, pathetic little loser...
