Smoothies?

Does anyone know what their smoothies are made with? One of my friends had a kiwi one and it was great, I was just worried about all the extras (other than the fruit) that they may have added in.

Thanks =)

I believe that there is sugar in them. Which is why people like them. But I don't know for sure.

I don't like it either I asked and she said it was powdered. Powdered what who knows when in doubt don't eat it:yay: I would LOVE to open up a juice/smoothie shop with an emphasis on raw foods here but I know it wouldn't fly. This county likes things fried, with bacon and covered in butter and cheese :barf:

Sounds like 'old school' talk to me...have you done any market research to prove the 'This county likes things fried, with bacon and covered in butter and cheese' hypothesis?
:whistle:

.....if not, i think you'd be surprised.

down in Virginia Beach where i am from, they have a smoothie place called Big Island smoothie, they make all of their smoothies with fresh fruit, yogurt, and ice. I was looking into actually starting one while i was down there, even talked to the CEO about it, it was 125k to start a franchise and the CEO actually came and helped you get everything started as far as running it , and making the drinks, and advertising. i think a place like that would be a huge hit over on solomans, especially right now.

I think it would do well. There really isn't a place around here to get things like that. Maybe selling other healthy food options as well, it would be a hit I am sure.

I can eat healthy at home. When I go out I want to treat myself with something I either cannot make or cannot readily get at home. JMO.

Same goes for a "healthy" smoothie. If I am going out for it, it should be a treat because that is not something I keep in the house.

BTW, in case you didn't know there is a great health food store in Leonardtown off the square.

I had lunch there today for the first time. Clean, fast, delicious food, friendly employees. I'll be going back.

I went there for lunch a week or so ago and plan on going this Friday as well. I was very impressed, very clean inside, very friendly staff. I ordered the pineapple rice with chicken, and a kiwi smoothie. They were both great. :smile:
