Wait, do you mean to suggest that people should face CONSEQUENCES for their actions? My heart goes out to the little girl, but she has 2 options - learn to live with her mistake or move. Teenagers aren't known to be gentle or forgetful with scandal.

Wow, how old school of you!![]()
She certainly learned a lesson the hard way. I agree with you that is sad. Some people's lives serve little more than to act as an example of what not to do, though.I do, but I really feel bad for the little girl. She's made a mistake, first in an adult action which he parents obviously do not approve. But then she trusted either the other participant in the act or friends she though she could trust. Quite a lesson she has learned. I wish there were more ways the school could get this "lesson" out to other kids.
With the technology they have at their fingertips today, I have a feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg.
At my club we have a bulletin board that we place the pictures of the "criminal(s)" and the report that states their crime info. I use this for 2 reasons:I do, but I really feel bad for the little girl. She's made a mistake, first in an adult action which he parents obviously do not approve. At my club we have a bulletin board that we place the pictures of the "criminal(s)" and the report that states their crime info. I use this for 2 reasons:
1) To let the kids who did the crime feel ashamed of what they did. If they commit a big crime, they're usually banned. The other kids tell them that their pictures are up on our bulletin board.
2) So that the other kids can see them and know exactly what happened so as to not start any rumors. It works as a deterrent for some kids. They see it and I talk to them about making wiser decisions that these others have. I tell them that some mistakes can follow them for the rest of their life and some can end it.
Another problem I see is their own doing. I've seen sooo many of our teens pictures on MySpace (mainly girls) that are extremely revealing. They're in skimpy outfits and provocative poses. Anyone can download them and text them to anyone. So whose fault is that?....There you go.
sweet, the scarlet letter, you are so progressive![]()
Oh come on Pete...There's good in everyone, those kids weren't doing anything harmful, they're just being kids...because hugging them has worked so well![]()

My Brother's Place in Waldorf. What kind of club?![]()
My Brother's Place in Waldorf.
Looks like this place might be going bye bye if the Friday night attendance doesn't pick up again.
I'll probably be leaving there in the next few weeks or months regardless of what happens. Go-go has arrived and it's getting bad there...
Plus the schools are having Friday night activities now and the economy is down and the kids are tired of the teenage related drama and a host of other reasons....All the kids are going to Applebees and anything else you can walk in without a cover charge or ID.![]()
