Kind of a HUGE hint right there.. I'm guessing their last scam e-mail had to do with a motorcycle.. they screwed up in their editing.

That caught my eye, too, but I guessed it referred to some sort of restoration process...as soon as you said "motorcycle" it all made sense. Just one more scam among the millions out there.

He also mentioned "custom papers" in the first email. Um, you don't need customs papers to ship from California.

Has anyone noticed that the latest Nigerian scams are coming out of Hong Kong? I have bankers from Hong Kong contacting me all the time about unclaimed money in accounts there.

Ebay's buyer protection will not cover if you do not buy through Ebay. And the funds can only go through specific Ebay fund channels.

ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on what email server YOu use.. I use hotmail and just have to click on "MORE" and then select "View Message Source"

some say display message header.. etc.. But imbedded in the header will be the IP address usually located inside brackets

Easiest thing to do:

Go to Ebay Motors website- type it in yourself, don't click on links in an email- and search for a vehicle is listed there matching this description.

Never never never never never take up an offer to buy something that someone claims to have on eBay but does not show up. Even if the auction ended with no bids you can do an advanced search of "completed listings" to find it.

The broken English with the WASP-y alias would tip me off. Dude sounds like Borat.

What the header looks like.. and look for the first set of brackets with an IP inside.. that's the originating source.

I'm in banking,and have been for almost 20 yrs now, and everyday, all over the place people are getting creative with scamming people and it is constantly getting worse.

Just today as a matter of fact someone called from Iowa, said that my name was signed on a check from a business account that actually has been closed.

The person was purchasing a computer for $250.00 but this person he was dealing with on Craigs List sent him a check instead for $1450.00 told him to cash it and then send him the remainder of the funds then he will provide him with the computer.

it has never been laid down??? What is it, a motorcycle??? Dont understand that verbage...
Next: Clear US title??? Since when does a car have a US title? It is the state that titles a car...like a clear Maryland title...

This whole deal stinks of scam.....
And I can provide a full name and address..let me go look one up real quick..
Yea..right...
Run away as fast as you can from this deal...:jameo:
