And did that stop you from doing something stupid again, or did you take your chances?

I'm thinking simple unadulterated revenge on a man they grew to hate. It would seem his career is the only thing left to him, why not take that from him? Human nature 101.

About 90% of the time it worked, but about 99% of the times I decided to do it anyways I got caught and took the ASS whooping like a crying little princess. But even today, if I think of doing something stupid I still ask. "What would my Dad think, do?". and if the answer is "He'd most certainly would whoop my ass." I still won't do it.

Obama destroyed America
But the only proof we have is of Mom AND Dad beating her..

Where's the other video's showing Mom's abuse?? She can say anything she wants to do about the Dad but there is no proof.. EVEN though she (mom) goes into detail about the harassing threatening e-mails and texts, yet offers none of them as evidence..
Robert! Would you beat Bubba like that?? Answer honestly!!

I'm just not seeing the financial motive for the daughter.

Are you serious?

Um, the financial motive would be....money.

How is she supposed to get this money? I undrrstand the wife might be seeking alImony but I don't get how the daughter would benefit. Is there a precedent for a child to sue their parents for corporal punishment? It seems like both parents would be guilty if she could sue one, at least according to that video.

Did you actually think about that before you wrote it?

Yeah I did. If the daughter is going to sue, and even in the case of a alimony for the mother, the video makes both parents look guilty. I just don't see how that turns into money for the daughter, or the wife really.

You can sue anyone for anything, surely you know that. The girl presents the video in court, talks about how traumatized she's been and how the beatings ruined her life, the jury responds pretty much like the general public has responded, and voila.

So the answer is, I do not know if there is a precedent. But there never is a precedent until one is set. Wouldn't you agree?

What other reason is there for her to go public with this seven years after the fact, in a nationwide venue? Why would she even save the video that long?

I totally agree with you! :buddies: I was thinking the same thing, a video game,??? she downloaded some illegal music in 2004??? Let me tell you in 2004 all sixteen years olds were doing this. JHC!!!! I hope his ass goes to jail!!!!

Everyone's doing it? That makes it okay?

Gee, wonder what illegal aliens are thinking. Well, might as well, everybody's doing it.

LITTLE Caylee Anthony might still be alive if Casey's parents gave her a beat down one of the first hundred times they caught her lying, cheating or stealin

This may be a dumb question, but is it even against the law to whip your kids ass with a belt? No evidence of continued beatings and I am sure the kid put on an extra "act" for the hidden camera. No case in my opinion..

why would a judge who is running for re election be an active participant in a "fake" beating of his kid? Did he think everyone would be all "awww...he's a great dad , he'll make a great judge". Y'all are stuck on "If he hates technology why are there those computers / web cams in the room?" He even said in the video to the mom..."see?? I told you - computer brought nothing but hate and arguments into this house"(paraphrasing). I'm sure your parents were against crap and forbid it in their home, yet when you were 16 I'm sure y'all still had it.

If it was a set up and it is a stunt - he's a hell of a good actor. He should be in movies. He was mad as hell, so much so that he went to get another belt when his wife took the first one. Dude has issues.

No! Not only no, but hell no! If I had something in the house that my father did not approve of, at the very least I had a good beating coming, as well as the end of whatever illicit thing I had brought into the house.

My mother never spanked me one time when I was a child - my grandmothers would paddle me or whack me with the flyswatter, but Mom never struck me. Until I was 15 or 16 and giving her a bunch of crap. THEN she fattened my lip for me.

I can't see hitting little kids and it makes no sense to me, but I can definitely see where someone would want to slap the living chit out of a teenager.

Or use a shotgun on them?

Same or similar act. Be honest or BG will.

Not for that particular crime no, buy borrowing from the daughter maybe she was a piece of #### teenager and this was the "straw that broke the camel's back." I even wonder if DAD used hat same term back then and she intentionally used it now.
