If somebody could put out decent movies then maybe folks would come to a movie theatre. I can't think of a single good movie (recently) that has piqued my interest enough to go through the hassle of seeing it at a theatre.

Have to agree with you, the offerings are pretty spare for people who like reasonably intelligent, entertaining fare. "Inception" wasn't too bad. I always shake my head when it's Oscar time, maybe one nominated best film has played here. Guess there are a lot of indiscriminate movie viewers in the area or people are just desperate for some form of entertainment.
From what I can tell, most "top" movies do play down here, but who wants to spend (waste) the money to run the risk that a movie sucks especially when it'll be out on DVD 4 months later. (Sooner @ the Farmers Market)
They can do whatever they want for a theater, or not. I will continue to get DVDs/BluRays and improve my home theater. No noise, no distractions, I can set the perfect volume and sub-woofer volumes, have whatever I want to snack on, pause the movie for a quick break, no sticky floors, no jerks in the back rows, .......
I'm done with theater houses.
Anybody notice the 97000 square foot office building plan approved that was reported in the Post yesterday? It will be built somewhere around rt 4 and rt 235.
"Top movie" is subjective, if we are talking gross then that is a different story. I admit I enjoy seeing a movie on a big screen and would like to go to the movies more than once or twice a year. But I don't care to travel up the road to do so (especially not to Waldorf).
Nothing against Texas Roadhouse, but I really wish the original plan would of stuck and a B-dubs would be next. There are enough steakhouses aound here, but no good sports bars .... plus their wings are awesome!
Been to one.. Annapolis I think?
It wasn't impressive.. Wings were overpriced.. and not very big.
That will be the ONE time we go there.
The closest one is in Va Beach....The drumstiicks are big...and they have .50 Drumstick Wednesdays....25 Wing Tuesdays. They have probably 50 large tvs' with 4 -6 jumbo screens..play NFL ticket, all Major MMA events, NCAA games.
The food is great sports bar food..and they have probably 32 different sauces....it's really good stuff...def wasn't what you were at in Annapolis.
Now I'm trying to remember where we were.. I know that was the restaurant we were in..
COLLEGE park.. We were at IKEA and it's almost in their parking lot.
