Went to the one in LaPlata, food was okay IMO, but the service was pretty good. Wait was very long to get seated....i'd much rather go to the Original Steakhouse.
I ate there Monday night. VERY good!!

I may try TR tonight. Are there still waits?

Yup, I really liked it. The menu's pretty typical for a steakhouse(http://portal.texasroadhouse.com/NMotion/Menus/Menu-C7_0508.pdf)...steak, ribs, bbq, chicken, burgers...etc. The waiters/waitresses dance around and sing and if it's your birthday, they bring over the fake bull for you to sit on while they sing to you...my bf hated that! :lmao:

Oh cool sounds like a nice atmosphere then. I saw the menu looked pretty good but some one else commented that the prime rib tasted like ham :eyebrow: so I was a little concerned w/ the quality of the food

Ham?! That's funny. My friend actually got the prime rib a few times there and she loved it. I dunno though, I'm not big on prime rib myself. I don't really eat a lot of steak but I do like Delmonico(sp?), which of course they don't have. I've had the county veg plate (you pick 4 sides...I'm just weird like that, lol), road kill (chopped steak with mushrooms, onions and jack cheese :yum:) and the smothered chicken. The atmosphere's really fun and laid back. You should definitely try it out, we had lots of fun.

I've been to the one in LaPlata with my family. Everything was pretty bad except the honey butter biscuts.

DO NOT GET THE BLOOMING ONION THERE!

so gross.

Wow, that's surprising. I totally agree with you on the honey butter biscuits though  I didn't realize they were sweet biscuits the first time we went so when I bit into it I thought the butter was bad, LOL...but then wait, it was sweet, sorta cinnamony and mmm mmm good!

We're going to try it again in a week or so since we got a gift certificate. Otherwise we'd never have gone back hehe

It's one of the few places I've ever gone where we all agreed that everything was bad.

The service was fine and all, and the food was cooked right (well done etc.), it just tasted bad. The potatoes and gravy was almost flavorless. The aforementioned blooming onion knock off tasted terrible. We each took one sliver and ignored it.

They didn't even charge us for it. I think they knew they tasted terrible.

Who knows, it may have changed a bit.

Now do you order those or do they come w/ the meal? I heard some one else say that they had some type of buttery dinner rolls.

There is a Texas Roadhouse in Pasadena, about 10 miles south of Balitmore... I've been a few times but I'll agree with MrX - The Original Steakhouse in Edgewater is awesome... :yay::yay:

I've tried two TR's (Dover and Fruitland) and was not happy with either. Service was good but the meat was just so-so. JMO. I did like their chili.

I also don't care for Outback.

Tastes differ.

We went to Texas Roadhouse last night, and we're going again tonight. :yahoo:

Lucky you! What did you get to eat?

I dont really like Outback either... way over priced and not very good. Normally I just prefer to cook my own steak at home it is always better. We have a gift certificate to TR and a coupon for a free appetizer so figured we would try it out tomorrow after going to Costco.

 We love the one in Camden! :yum: We've only gone a few times because the wait is usually so long.
