There all-you-can eat buffets. No-limit salad bars. And even eat-'til-you-drop dessert bars.

But this may be a first for a national restaurant chain: endless appetizers.

TGI Fridays, whose signature item is arguably its appetizer line, today launches a high-profile but risky "Endless Appetizers" summer promotion that offers all-you-can-eat appetizers for $10 per person. Guests can choose one appetizer from a list of the the chain's most poplar starters — including loaded potato skins, boneless buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks — and receive unlimited refills. And while sharing is discouraged, that rule will not be enforced by servers, says Brian Gies, chief marketing officer at Fridays.

all-you-an-eat was not meant for people like me who get full after 5 or 6 bites. Last time I had their JD Ribs in Waldorf, I was up all night sick, never been back since.

If anyone recalls the all-you-can-eat seafood at Chesapeake Bay Seafood when they were in Waldorf, the refills were tiny amounts, and the servers didn't come around as often as you may have wanted either. People would get frustrated and complain, ask for double refills, etc. The longer it takes them to bring your refill, the more time your belly has to feel fuller, therefore you eat less overall. Keep in mind they will probably also say - no take out of leftovers as most buffets say.

Sadly as always, there is no TGIF in Cal. Co., and i am not interested enough to travel out of county to try this offer. If there was one in PF, maybe.

I know. Not much variety in Calvert. We don't eat out much, anyway. I think it is a waste of money to eat out. We did go to Blue Heron Inn on Saturday for dinner with our new in-laws. That was quite the experience fuh shore!

No. The 'scam' is buy more beer. I think that is where restaurants make pretty much all their money, alcohol. In any event, anyone who goes somewhere based on getting a 'deal' versus because 'that is where they wanna go' gets what they deserve; dealt. After all, if they say 'all of this crap you can eat for $10' why argue with them over it? They know what it's worth to them.
