I heard they are bringing in their own alcohol since the Thai Rest. had its license revoked. Supposedly, the thugs are want to be king pins from DC, and they carry their guns in and lay them on their tables, just in case. I agree what is it going to take to get this place closed down? I would hate to see one of our police or an innocent get hurt. The minors are local cousins of the thugs so they just walk on in with no ID. If CL and AM are going to camp out, I am going to camp out with a video camera and see how long they last.

Dude, we cannot control what these kids do after they leave our establishment. Whenever that many unsupervised kids get together you can expect trouble. We've tried to make it difficult for them to leave but, by law, we cannot restrain them in our building. At first we told them that, if they come in and later leave, they could not come back in that night. That worked for about a year so then we lightened up and allowed them to come back in but they had to pay half the regular admission fee uopn re-entry. Hey, we're trying our best but we only have them for 4 hours, one night a week.Dude, there were fights all the time at your place. Yeah, they might not have taken place inside, but they sure as hell brought their fights over to the Checker's parking lot when I was working there.
Cops were called out at least three times a night every Friday night.
Take a guess where the little punks were coming from?

Thanks to liberalism (a mental disorder) there is NO preventive or pre-emptive measures allowed. My friend tried to get a concealed carry permit down here and they asked him if he had ever been shot, knifed or had his life threatened. He said no and they said he'd have to wait until this happened. Pretty hard carrying a gun after you've been killed.

Since you don't believe what I believe, you'd NEVER understand how important it is to have a Dad & a Mom raising kids. This is why I don't adopt. Sure there are single parents raising kids but it's not the ideal situation and look how many of them turn out bad because one parent is usually missing in their lives. (I did say "many", not all).
And I haven't seen your rear end in our club helping us out, so don't try to blame "my establishment" for not working. I told you that we have the kids for 4 hours out of 168 in a week, so it is VERY hard for us to be the major influence in their lives but, UNLIKE YOU, at least we're trying! What are you doing for the betterment of the world? I'd rather influence hundreds of kids for a while than only one. Is that too hard for you to see? I make more of a difference in one week than you do in a year, cupcake. You have no idea how many thousands of people I help each & every week and in ways that you'd never see or hear about. Most days I spend my time doing more things for others than I do for myself. While you're preaching pro choice, I'm preaching value for human life, abstinence and love to kids, most of whom I meet for the first time when they come into my club. Stop by Friday night 7pm and I'll show you what we do there. I'll show you why some kids that I've only known for a few weeks, call me their "Daddy". (No smart a$$ remarks needed here).

It's all of the "pro-life" comments and then people who are not able to house/feed/raise these children who are unwanted.
I'm hormonal all of the time, but manage to keep myself in check until an issue arises that really bothers me.
I think what you do is wonderful, but I also feel you can do much more and make a real difference in several lives. Children don't need a mother and father. They need a good "parent", boundaries and love. A few hours a week just doesn't cut it.
Ask Watercolor what I do...if you need a forum reference about me.
I enjoy spending time with senior citizens and older people who seem to have families that don't have time for them.
The youth of today are not a draw to me at all. For the most part they are spoiled brats and have no respect for their parents.
I live over 3 hours away, but I might drop in on one of your meetings one evening. Thanks for the invite.

Well I'm glad that you work with the elderly because that is not my calling. I did maintenance work at the Abbey Manor assisted living center in LaPlata for a year when my Mom was there and I could see I wasn't cut out for elder care. I have a much better time with the teens. Whatever our calling, as long as we are making a difference.
With kids respect must be earned. I've studied psychology for many years in order to know how to deal with people and it has paid off very well. I can't tell you how many times I've had parents come to MBP and ask me: "what did you do to get my kid's attention? S(he) loves you and talks about you all the time. I had to come in and meet you. Thank you for what you do". Even reaching just one child makes it all worth while. And, of course, some parents could care less what we do. They just drop their kids off like we're a babysitting agency.
