Is this a lost tradition?
Apparently not. Dustin's mom sent the little one a copy of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". His response:

This is the second time I've sent my friend a little something just letting her know I was thinking of her. She never writes or lets me know she even got it. :frown: I guess she won't be getting anything else from me!

Thank you notes are not a "tradition", they are an etiquette. So, it is only lost on those who were never taught (or never bothered to learn) proper etiquette.

RSVP is another etiquette that many seem to disregard these days, or maybe they just don't know what R.S.V.P. means

We watched the neighbor's dog for a week. I was kind of hoping for a box of salt water taffy or something, but

Well crap. If a myspace thank you is gonna count, I'm gonna tell my gramma to get to stepping on building her myspace page.

I send thank you notes and make my kid (8 yrs old) send thank you notes as well. They are VERY important.

I will make the 3 year old send thank you notes once he can actually write. Now he just scribbles in the card his brother writes.
