The 4th at CRE Beaches

Hey folks,

Lurker here...I'm thinking of bringing some friends to one of our beaches in CRE for the 4th. Before we commit, I'm wondering how fireworks watching is from there?

And I imagine that I need to get there early to get a table.

Fireworks

Not aware of any fireworks planned for the CRE beachs. But than again I am occasionally wrong. Or at least that is what the wife tells me.

The only fireworks that I am aware of in southern Calvert are on Solomons island.

You can see small ones on the eastern shore but they are very very small.

FWIW - Dewey Beach is attempting to set a Guiness Record this year with their fireworks show. So I would expect it to be a big one. I think I read that the finale was going to be at least 10 minutes long.

Thanks everyone...I guess we'll find somewhere else where fireworks can be seen.

(BTW, I've already made the mistake of going down to Solomon's Island...never again!) :jameo:

Fools

Just do what the fools did last year Stop at the top of the Bridge and watch from there.

Oh Yeah foolish for sitting on top of a bridge in need of repair.

Foolish for blocking the only route for emergency equipment to get across.

The foolish police dept that let you do it.

And the fools that made some people late for work because they were selfish enough to only think of themselves.
