Same deal as last year - five points for the winner, one for each pick inside the top-five. Maximum possible, nine points.

I'm going to have to rethink how we do Chase picks since the Chase has evolved in to a playoff. Interested in everyone's thoughts on that... keep picking seven or do we want something different? I like the idea of bonus points for picking which drivers advance to the next round - obviously, a win ensure a driver advances. Thoughts?

Anyways, it's almost 500 time.

:coffee:Don't change 7 picks . However Bonus Points for advancing Drivers in Elimination Races 3 , 6 , 9 sounds interesting & challengening if driver is in top 7

That's not a bad idea.

The only problem is, if someone wins, they automatically advance so, before they even enter the elimination race, we already know one or two drivers who advance.

I like it though. :buddies:

Stenhouse and Patrick, keep your shenanigans to yourselves until after you finish the race way down in the standings, then your trailer can rock as hard as you, errrrr......her......errrr, can make it.

I will try to watch the start and then the finish of the 500, just because I feel obligated to as an American.:yahoo:

Major :sarcasm: Screw the losers. They will always be losers until they get better. On their own with their manufacturer and team. Making the losers better by awarding them for something they did not deserve solves nothing. Socialism in sports competition, anyone?

Apparently so on this forum.

Why penalize winners? Does socializing NASCAR level the playing field? What incentives for the best, who will just fall into the "rest of them" category?

That's the kind of competition that just brings out the best in everybody!:killingme

I am trying to figure this out, but cannot wrap my head around the scoring.
